goodbye, exams. hello, holiday

Hey guys :)

Just a quick one! I’m OFFICIALLY on holidays for THREE awesome months :) *pops baloons* So, I can do meet ups with people whom I haven’t met for ages, so please please facebook me ok? :)

The cousins are down here from Aussie and it has been quite productive days for us :D Tehehe. Went to the Library at e@curve and it was awesome possum! Have pictures but I’ll upload them a little later :D Heee. It was a great place to chill and we had soooooo much fun playing card games. Laughed too hard. :D

I’ll be heading up to Camerons on Monday :) Yay. Okay, have tonnnees of fun, you all. Have a great weekend! :)

it’s hard to say goodbye

‘Goodbye to you my trusted friend
We’ve known each other since we were nine or ten
Together we’ve climbed hills and trees
Learned of love and ABC’s
Skinned our hearts and skinned our knees

Goodbye my friend it’s hard to die
When all the birds are singing in the sky..’

It is a shocking terrible news. Never would I ever imagined that he would be gone. My childhood playmate, Kar Lubb is gone due to an accident. It’s devasting. He was a real good boy, with bright future ahead. ‘He was supposed to go overseas,’ his father said, trying to hold the tears back. He’s an engineering student with bright future waiting for him. It is just too unfortunate. We haven’t been keeping much in touch after all these years, and not too long ago, we did speak on msn. I regret, for not holding the friendship stronger. But I’m glad, we did speak again. He did tell me the tree house in front of his house that we used to play in was gone. And now, he is gone. It’s too unbelievable losing a friend in this manner. It’s even harder to express my feelings of never seeing him again. He was indeed, a good and nice person. Very humble. God must have loved him more. At least, he doesn’t have to suffer anymore as I believe he was in a great deal of pain. He never gain consciousness.

Life IS unpredictable. I’ve went through a few losses this year. But this is the most tragic lost. He’s only 20. People always say, ‘appreciate the ones around you’ but it seems, everyone takes people around them for granted. Including me.

Kar Lubb,

Sorry for not saying hi to you more often than I should. Sorry for not keeping in touch all these years until you added me on facebook. I’ll never forget our childhood days everytime I hear or see your name. You were awesome, did you know that? How nice you treated me, I’ll never forget. How we climb up to your tree house that was ‘unfinished’. Don’t know if it was completed after that? It’s gone now. :( I’ll never forget you as a humble person and generally a very very nice and genuine friend. You’re gone too soon but I think you’re in a better place now. Look below, and you will see your friends moving on, but never replacing or forgetting you. Don’t think I’ve forgotten how your school bag looks like. It was grey and green. I forgot mine. Rest in peace and may your soul gain peace and joy in where you are. Will definately miss you.

with lots of love, hugs & kisses,

your childhood tomboy friend who cycles to your house almost every other evening,
drea.

steamboat =)

Had a wonderful family steamboat on Sunday with the relatives that came over which was from my dad’s side of the family. It’s always nice to have dinner with all of them as the house suddenly becomes very lively and nice. I didn’t manage to take picture of everyone as the boys were shy =| So here are some pictures to share :)

Baby Ally <3

She has got to be the cutest baby alive :) She’s soo smart at her age and she’s 1 year + now only. Love her to bits. Oohh, this is my baby cousin sister :)

Everybody just loves the baby!

Looking small and tiny here

This is her pose everytime you tell her to take a picture. He he

Live Prawns!

Toong and I were assigned to get the prawns and we decided to get live prawns this time. These are tiger prawns and we bought them from a Seafood Distributor in Selayang. It was RM48 per kg, but there was a discount of 15%. We took the prawns out only when we were about to put them in the hot pot so the prawns were really very tangy, sweet and delicious. Yum!

???

The springy fresh prawns. Yum

Too cute to not show :P

There she is again! :D He he he.

Auntie that was really hungry

the cousin who enjoyed the food :D

My mommy dearest <3

My mommy dearest is the world’s most sporting mother ever. I am really thankful she’s my mom and I love her to bits. You can talk to her about anything under the sky and she has a good sense of humour! And she plays Facebook too :D Awesome mom!

Chhhaarrggee for the food

We had two pots, one was tomyam and the other was clear soup. The best part of the dinner will always be the company :) It was an awesome dinner!

On the other hand, I’ve finished one paper on Tuesday. Yay! Two more to go. The sad news is, I’m down with slight flu. Grrr. I have the tendancy to get flu during exams. :S Weird eh? Even Lisan told me once in our high school days that she ALWAYS hears me sneeze behind her during exams. The flu just wouldn’t leave me alone :(

Time really flies. Next  week is my sister’s wedding already :O My oh my. A lot of people asked me, ‘How do you feel about your sister getting married?’ To be frank, I’m just happy for her but nothing sad because she will still be living with me! :D I’m so looking forward to her wedding because cousies from Aussie will be over at my place for about 2 weeks :) And another visit from my dearest Lynn from Singapore. Before the exams are over, I’m already thinking about my holidays. =|

Okay, here is where I should stop. Or else I’ll go on and on. Have a great weekend ya all ;)

Hiking at Broga Hill, Semenyih

Hello hello!! :)
I shouldn’t be posting this up now… but… I’m just so tired of studying. Not that I’ve been studying a lot anyway :S I’m just.. distracted + lazy. :( Let’s not go there. On Saturday, me and the bf went to Broga Hill with the bf’s colleagues that planned everything :) We woke up at 3.30am and I slept at 12am before that. Was soooo tired. But I was so determined and bersemangat! Met them at about 430 , gathered the troop and off we went! The journey was about 45 minutes or so. We arrived at Broga Hill at about 5.30am and there were soooo many cars already! It was pitch dark and luckily, we brought our little torchie :) So.. off we went hiking with other big group of people as well.
.
The trail is actually fairly easy and I think every trail leads you to the peak. It was tirin indeed! It’s not difficult but for people like me who rarely exercise, it was killing my legs. (P.s. short legs have greater disadvantage throughout this hike) Okay, we reached the peak slightly before 7, before sunrise.

waiting for sunrise

The bf even set up the tripod for me and here, we all waited for the sunrise.

Nicer view

But this is what we get! NO SUNRISE. :( Walk soooooo long but NO SUNRISE. :( Was kind of disappointed but somehow, I already knew because the sky didn’t look too good. Then, it started to look gloomy and misty. We just hung around and did some snapshots.

the bf :)

Testing testing. One of our troop member’s friend taught me to do this so I was experimenting.

Me!

Yes, I’m jacoon because compact cameras do not do that. Heee :D

beautiful :)

This is one of the best scenery :) It was as misty but it definately looked much better than this! :) It’s an X by the way.

land of the greens

the boys

This was an experiment again, using the sport mode. How synchronized the boys were! Except Jeff. He wanted to be ’special’ te hehe.

the girls

I was a little embarassed doing this because my shirt keep flying up! I had to pull it down :( I do not look nice at all :( Sob sob. I wanna do a star jump!!

:)

Taken by Jeff :)

time to go home

While taking pictures, it was starting to drizzle :( No sunrise + drizzle! Bad day. :( So we went down at about 8.15am

Group Pic!

Oh, this is our group picture at the end of the day! Ha ha. We went for brunch after that. Was soooooooo hungry.

I definately wanna go to Broga Hill again to watch the sunrise despite the tiring hiking process. But I enjoyed it. It’s a good exercise! Let me know who’s up for it cause I’ll be planning the next one :)

Okay, now wish me luck for my exams! Chhhhhhaaaarrrrrrgggggeeeeeeee

xoxo,drea.

Guess who got lucky?

Me me me! :)

Was on the way home after discussion for the LIMITED TIME assignment (of 4 days) with classmates and as usual, listening to Red. Fm :) And they were giving away MJ’s This Is It album! I am proud to admit I do admire MJ a lot thus, I decided to try my luck by sms-ing in. I only texted in once and voila! Jeremy, the DJ of Red. Fm called me and I won the cd!

WOOHOO.

I’m so happy. He asked me what my fav. song was and I just blurted out Billie Jean and he asked me to sing a few lines! I did :) It was funny listening to myself on the radio. :D

I’m so happy now that I don’t feel like doing anything. By the way, I just realized christmas is next month! I was at starbucks and I saw this little small tumbler, white. It has christmas deco and there’s a little penguin which was SOOOOOO cute. And it says ‘Let it snow, let it snow’. So this IS a HINT to you. Please and thank you :)

cheeerio! (back to assignment. gahhh. it’s impossible to not do anything. darn it.)

xoxo,drea.
